I am a first year PhD student at MSU with a strong interest in mathematics, CS theory, and Artificial Intelligence. In my free time I love running, I have two cats, and I am learning a lot about cooking! My current research interests include strategic classification, reinforcement learning, and inverse reinforcement learning. I am also interested in combinatorics, graph theory, and discrete mathematics.
I am a Ph.D. student at Michigan State University. Prior to MSU, I received an M.S. degree in Information Technology Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University and a B.S. degree in computer science from The University of Tehran. I am eager to learn and enjoy facing challenges. My chief areas of interest are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I am especially interested in applying AI to develop applicable methods with strong theoretical foundations to solve challenging problems in the field of medical and biological research.
I am a Palestinian graduate student pursuing a dual Ph.D in computer science, and neuroscience. I earned Bachelors in both Computer Science and Mathematics from Technion and subsequently worked as a VLSI engineer at Apple Inc. before becoming a Fulbright grantee in MSU. I spend the little free time I have learning to play various instruments to various degrees of success.
Hi, I am Sanaz. I will be joining HAAIL in 2021 for a Ph.D. Before coming to MSU, I graduated with an M.Sc. in the Artificial Intelligence field from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran Polytechnic. I am mainly interested in Machine Learning, Data, and Graph Mining.
Abhinav Thirupathi is an undergraduate student double majoring in computer science and economics at MSU. On the side, he enjoys spoken-word poetry and is an avid reader. He has research interests in the applications of data mining and machine learning to finance.
Rachel Townson is pursuing a major in Computer Science with a minor in Cognitive Science and is member of the Honors College. In her free time, she enjoys playing her electric guitar and running. Her research interests include applications of computer science such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. She is also interested in psychology and using computers to help understand the complicated problems associated with the subject.
I am a senior undergraduate at Lyman Briggs, majoring in physics and computer science. I am a sucker for puzzles and board games, when my two cats aren't demanding my attention. I am interested in research with a focus on new technology and machine learning. I find space exploration particularly enticing, with the aim of making space travel safer and more accessible.
